I was performing on the street with my banjo in a little college town in Greenville, North Carolina. I was playing for change and just about to head home (it was around three in the morning) when this girl standing behind me suddenly asks, “So, do you play hip hop?” These college kids were probably just like, “What is this guy doing?!” but I did my best to carve my way through for her. From there, we went on a date later that week and just talked for hours…it was awesome. She’s now my wife.
